YAS2MW is a compact omnidirectional whip antenna for 450–470 MHz mobile radio installations. Its base-loaded half-wave design operates without a ground plane, allowing installation on a wider range of vehicles, machinery, and equipment enclosures than antennas that require a conductive mounting surface.
The 12.5-inch antenna combines a straight stainless-steel whip with a durable molded load-coil housing. Gold-plated contact surfaces, solid brass inserts, and an O-ring-sealed base support reliable service on police, municipal, emergency, and industrial vehicles. The antenna attaches to a standard NMO mount, which is ordered separately.
