YAS5MW is a base-loaded mobile whip antenna for the 450–470 MHz band. It provides 5 dBi omnidirectional gain, vertical polarization and a 50 Ω impedance. The antenna installs on an NMO mount without requiring a ground plane.
The stainless-steel whip has a corona ball tip. Its outdoor-rated base uses an ABS housing molded around a solid brass insert and a gold-plated push-pin contact. The antenna is 820 mm tall, weighs 205.5 g and handles up to 100 W at 25°C ambient temperature.
